Week of June 2
Cable One
Cable One announced that the company’s chief executive, board chair and president Julia M. Laulis will step aside from her roles at the end of the year or once a successor is named, whichever comes first.
Her departure marks the end of 26 years at the company. The company’s board is working to find Laulis’ successor and plans to retain the 40-year industry veteran in an advisory role to support Cable One’s leadership transition.
Charter Communications
Charter’s Spectrum brand announced that Group Vice President, Software Engineering & Architecture, Adam Taylor has been promoted to SVP of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) Engineering and Operations. In his new role, Taylor will be responsible for leading the company’s suite of broadband and Wi-Fi products. Taylor brings a decade of experience within the company and more than 20 years of work at all levels of the engineering stack to his new job.
Crusoe
AI infrastructure provider Crusoe tapped John Adams (no, not THAT John Adams) as its new SVP of Power Infrastructure, tasked with end-to-end development and operation of large-scale, on-site energy projects. He previously served as President and CEO of power generation operator TexGen and prior to that was COO of Blackstone’s Kindle Energy.
TDS Telecom
Telephone and Data Systems (TDS) announced that Ken Dixon will succeed Jim Butman as president and CEO of TDS Telecommunications, effective June 9. Butman is slated to retire July 1 with 40 years at TDS Telecom, seven of which he spent as its chief executive. Dixon brings 33 years of telecom experience to his new position. He spent 27 of those years at Verizon, where he rose through to ranks to president of consumer markets from 2016-2019. Most recently, he served as CEO at Tillman Fiber from 2022-2024.

Keysight
Keysight announced two executive leadership appointments with a focus on innovation, talent development and operational excellence.
- Ingrid Estrada, Senior Vice President, Chief People and Administrative Officer, has been named Senior Vice President of Corporate Infrastructure and Operations. In this role, she will lead Order Fulfillment, IT, Indirect Procurement, and Corporate Services.
- Jodi Juskie, Assistant General Counsel, has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer, succeeding Ingrid Estrada in leading Keysight’s global talent strategy and human resources functions.
- Gooi Soon Chai, Senior Vice President of Order Fulfillment and Digital Operations is to retire after more than 40 years with the company.
These changes follow the planned retirement of Gooi Soon Chai, who will remain engaged with the company for the next 6 months to ensure a smooth transition.
Zscaler
Zscaler named Kevin Rubin as its new CFO. He has previously served as CFO of BetterUp, where he guided the company’s financial strategy and operational scale, and at Alteryx, where he was responsible for global financial operations, investor relations, corporate development and ventures, real estate, and workplace services.

ALE
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise appointed Sandrine El Khodry as the Executive Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing, reporting directly to the company CEO, Yann Zhang. From her extensive roles within ALE and the wider IT and network communications industry, Sandrine brings a robust record of senior sales leadership as well as deep expertise in the market dynamics of global enterprise.
Cisco
Cisco named Brett McGurk as Special Advisor for the Middle East and International Affairs. In his new role, Brett will help deepen our longstanding partnerships in the Middle East and globally–helping to ensure our uniquely trusted technology is incorporated in all aspects of the AI revolution, including the infrastructure buildouts ongoing in the U.S. and globally, including Stargate and AI Infrastructure Partnership (AIP) and serving as a founding partner of Saudi Arabia’s new AI company, HUMAIN. The company also named Chuck Graham as Chief Supply Chain Officer. He will oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, driving agility, innovation, and resilience across our global network.
Dell'Oro
Dell’Oro appointed Alex Cordovil as Research Director for Data Center Physical Infrastructure and Liquid Cooling. Alex brings 20+ years of experience, including deep domain expertise in data center power, cooling, and IT management, most recently at Vertiv, where he played a central role in the company’s AI strategy and partner ecosystem development. He now leads research on the fast-evolving Data Center Physical Infrastructure market, including UPS, power distribution, thermal management, and IT racks—at a time when AI, sustainability, and scale are reshaping the global data center landscape.
Deutsche Telekom
Claudia Nemat, Member of the Board of Management responsible for Technology and Innovation, informed the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom AG at an early stage that she would not be renewing her contract after 14 years on the Board of Management. Nemat will be succeeded by Dr. Abdurazak (Abdu) Mudesir on October 1, 2025. He currently serves as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on Nemat's Executive Board. In addition, he is also Telekom's Chief Technology Officer in Germany.

Jennifer Weitzel has moved back to Microsoft where she is now Corporate Vice President (CVP) of Engineering, Procurement and Construction. For the last three years she was at Ada Infrastructure. Before Ada, she was was Vice President of Cloud Infrastructure Leases and M&A.

Cisco
Cisco announced that Mark Patterson will become CFO after Scott Herren’s retirement at the end of fiscal year 2025. Mark has been at Cisco for nearly 25 years, holding leadership positions across finance, strategy, and operations. He also spent more than a decade in sales. The company also promoted Jeetu Patel to President and Chief Product Officer. Read the press release here.
Humain
Tareq Amin has been named as the CEO of Humain, an AI company owned Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund (PIF). Amin left Rakuten in 2023 after five years to join Aramco Digital in Saudi Arabia. He was formerly with Jio.

Strategic Venue Partners (SVP) named David Tokunaga as its new Chief Operating Officer. With more than 25 years leading wireless innovation at companies like Boingo Wireless, Nokia and Qualcomm, Tokunaga joins SVP at a time of record demand for its connectivity-as-a-service model — a turnkey, capital-light solution that's transforming how venues deploy critical wireless infrastructure like DAS, CBRS, and Private LTE.
Eutelsat
Eutelsat appointed Jean-Francois Fallacher as its new CEO starting June 1. Fallacher hails from Orange where he was EVP and CEO of Orange France.
Orange
Replacing Fallacher (mentioned above) at Orange is Jerome Henique, who was EVP and CEO of the operator's Middle East and Africa division. Meanwhile, Yasser Shaker, will repace Henique at Middle East and Africa. Shaker was CEO of Orange Egypt.
BT
BT Group named Peter Leukert, as chief digital officer, starting on Sept. 1. Leukert is currently group CIO at Deutsche Telekom (DT).

Conway
Conway Corp. announced the election of Jon Ross Henderson to the Conway Corp Board of Directors. Henderson brings more than two decades of financial expertise and community leadership to the board. Congrats, Jon.
Separately, Conway announced the promotion of Jacob Mooningham in the cable telecommunication systems department. Mooningham was promoted to telecom installer technician 3, following the successful completion of his Broadband Fiber Installation Book (BFI) Certification from the Society of Cable Telecommunication Engineers (SCTE).
Conway Corp. Cable Telecommunication Systems Manager Tommy Nolen said, “Jacob is a great installer and strives to give 100 percent each and every day,” Nolen said. “I am thankful to have him on our team and enjoy watching him grow in his career.” Congrats, Jacob.
MTA
MTA, Alaska’s tech and telecom leader, has launched a nationwide search for its next CEO, following the announcement that current CEO Michael C. Burke will retire in September 2025. Congrats on your retirement, Michael.
Vonage
Vonage, part of Ericsson, appointed Christophe Van de Weyer as President and Head of Business Unit API, effective immediately. Van de Weyer will report to Niklas Heuveldop, Vonage CEO and Head of Business Area Global Communications Platform for Ericsson. Congratulations to Christophe.
Week of April 21, 2025
CoolIT
There’s a new head honcho over at CoolIT this week. Jason Waxman was tapped as the liquid cooling vendor’s new CEO, effective immediately. He replaces Steve Walton, who left the company in October 2024.
Waxman’s career notably includes two decades at Intel and a spot as a founding member of the Open Compute Project. He most recently served as President at test and measurement company Fluke Corporation.
CoolIT COO Patrick McGinn also got a promotion, adding President to his existing title.
MetTel
Managed services and connectivity provider MetTel gave its Public Sector segment a boost with the hire of Erika Dinnie as the company’s new VP of Federal Strategy and Planning.
Dinnie comes to MetTel from the government, having spent the past 10 years or so working for the General Services administration in various roles. During her tenure there she helped oversee GSA’s IT infrastructure, software, and applications.
Given the current environment in the U.S., it certainly seems like she’ll have her work cut out for her.
Teradata
Cloud database and analytics company Teradata revealed Sumeet Arora will be joining as its Chief Product Officer on April 28. He will be tasked with overseeing the company’s product portfolio roadmap.
Arora comes to the company with experience at ThoughtSpot and Cisco under his belt.
Dynatrace
There’s a shakeup happening at Dynatrace as well, as Chief Customer Officer Matthias Dollentz-Scharer prepares to retire. Steve McMahon will be stepping into that position as of May 12, coming from his role as Chief Customer Success Officer at Zscaler.
FWIW, McMahon has been around the block once or twice, with prior experience including jobs as CIO at CrowdStrike, CIO at Splunk and various roles at Cisco.
Logix Fiber
Logix must be up to something big because it has career news for the second week in a row. Jim Hintze, formerly SVP of Sales and Marketing, has been promoted to Chief Revenue Officer. In the new role, he'll be responsible for all things sales, marketing, channel development and strategic markets. He'll have a particular focus on key growth markets in Texas.
If his name sounds familiar, that's because Hintze has a long industry history spanning leadership roles at Boldyn Networks, FiberLight, Juniper Networks, Frontier Communications, Fujitsu Network Communications and Nokia Bell Labs.
Homer City Redevelopment
Homer City Redevelopment, the entity working to transform an old coal plant in Pennsylvania into a massive, natural-gas powered AI data center campus, also has fresh blood at the helm.
The company announced Corey Hessen is stepping up to the plate as CEO to replace William Wexler. Hessen previously served as CEO at Black Diamond Energy Partners, a company specializing in natural gas drilling programs for investors. He also served stints as an executive at various energy companies.
Safe to say he knows his way around an energy project, but will that be enough to make the transformation of this site into a data center a success? We’ll be watching closely.
Week of April 14, 2025
Inseego
Inseego scooped up long-time Sprint-turned-T-Mobile executive Ryan Sullivan (ahem, who was also our 2019 Fierce Network Rising Star winner) to lead FWA efforts in the carrier channel and drum up new FWA and MiFi business.
Sullivan told us he expects to use his carrier connections to help make further inroads for the company, which currently counts Verizon and T-Mobile as its largest carrier customers. Get more insights into his plans from our exclusive coverage here.
Logix
Logix’s executive chairman of the board Greg O’Connor has been promoted to CEO as the company aims to expand its network of over 300,000 fiber miles. O'Connor's claims to fame include senior roles at T-Mobile, Cogent Communications, and Sprint, including serving as General Manager of T-Mobile’s Wireline business and COO at Cogent following its acquisition of T-Mobile Wireline.

DC BLOX
Digital infrastructure provider DC BLOX appointed ex-PwC and EdgeConneX exec Greg Carender as its new Chief Operating Officer. In the same swoop, it tapped Mark Masi to step into the Chief Development Officer role.
Carender is tasked with oversight of the company’s data center operations, engineering and construction; network operations; project management office; purchasing; fiber development; IT; and and Security. Meanwhile, Masi will focus on land acquisition, tax incentives, energy procurement, and strategic partnerships.
Airwavz Solutions
Wireless connectivity company Airwavz Solutions promoted Perry Welch to Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). In his new role, Perry will oversee the sales operations for Airwavz' commercial real estate, healthcare, and wireless carrier business units.

AllWest Communications
All West Communications appointed Justin Nelson as Chief Executive Officer. Nelson will be responsible for accelerating All West’s fiber-to-the-home strategy across the Mountain West, building on the solid foundation and momentum achieved by the team under Matt Weller’s leadership. Weller, who has served as CEO since 2010, will transition into the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO), focused on leading the technology and innovation strategies as the business scales.
Comcast
Comcast announced the appointment of Jon Gieselman to the newly created role of Chief Growth Officer for the US residential businesses of its Connectivity & Platforms segment. Jon will report into Steve Croney who was recently named Chief Operating Officer across the same division. Jon most recently served as President, Expedia Brands and prior to that held senior roles at Apple and DIRECTV.
Equinix
Equinix, Inc. appointed Harmeen Mehta as Executive Vice President and Chief Digital and Innovation Officer (CDIO), effective April 4. With 28 years of experience in leading extensive digital transformations within the technology infrastructure sector, Mehta brings substantial expertise to Equinix as the company continues to advance its leadership in digital infrastructure. Mehta previously served as Chief Digital and Innovation Officer at BT Group, where she led the digital and AI-driven transformation of the company, significantly enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency. Prior to BT, she was Global Chief Information Officer & CEO, Cloud and Security Business at Bharti Airtel Limited.
Telefónica
Telefónica appointed Marc Murtra as executive director (CEO) of Telefónica. The operator also named Emilio Gayo, Carlos Ocaña, Olayan M. Alwetaid and Ana María Sala as directors.
Utopia Fiber
UTOPIA Fiber named Nicole Cottle as Deputy Director. Since joining UTOPIA Fiber in 2023 as Director of Government Relations and General Counsel, Cottle has emerged as a go-to leader within the company who draws on more than two decades of experience in municipal law, public policy, and community development. Her leadership has helped UTOPIA Fiber advance open access fiber builds in seven Utah cities, shape key legislative initiatives, and strengthen economic development efforts across Utah.

Orange Business
Orange Business named Wassila Zitoune-Dumontet CEO of Orange Business France, effective April 1, 2025. With her diversified career both in France and internationally, she is recognized for her leadership and strong experience in business transformation.
She previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Orange Business, in charge of procurement, operations and customer service.
Separately the company appointed Mireille Helou as Chief Operating Officer also effective April 1, 2025.
With a global career in the service and ICT industries, Helou has held various leadership positions since joining Orange Group in 2001. Her experience includes driving digital transformation at Orange Réunion & Mayotte, enhancing business operations in Kenya and leading strategic market observation at Orange Silicon Valley. EdgePoint Towers Sdn Bhd, a part of EdgePoint Infrastructure, appointed Ravin Vickneswaran as Chief Operating Officer. Vickneswaran has been with EdgePoint since 2021 and has extensive experience spanning over 25 years in the local and international telecommunications industry. Read more here.

Datatonic, announced a new CEO, Scott Eivers. With a background across a variety of senior roles growing functions and teams at global companies such as Vodafone, BT, Gartner and IBM, Eivers will be responsible for growth across Datatonic’s operations, spanning the UK, Europe and North America.

GSMA
The GSMA Board of Directors elected Gopal Vittal, as chair, for the remainder of the Board term, until the end of 2026. Vittal has served on the GSMA Board for eight years, including as Deputy Chair since 2023 and most recently as Acting Chair of the Board since mid-January, 2025. As Chair, Vittal will oversee the strategic direction of the organization, including completing the transition to 5G Standalone, driving new revenue models, and harnessing the potential of AI and GSMA Open Gateway APIs, to ensure growth.
Carbyne
Carbyne, the leading provider of cloud-native emergency communication solutions, announced that Jim Bugel, former President of FirstNet, Built with AT&T, joined its Advisory Board. With over 35 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and a distinguished career in public safety, national security, and emergency preparedness, Mr. Bugel's expertise will help shape Carbyne's future.
Bugel is renowned for his leadership in revolutionizing public safety communications. Following the 9/11 Commission's call for a dedicated nationwide network for first responders, he collaborated with Congress and public safety leaders to establish the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet). Mr. Bugel was the architect of AT&T's strategy and policy to secure the 25-year federal contract to build and operate FirstNet.
VEON
VEON Ltd., announced the appointment of Anand Ramachandran as Corporate Development Officer, effective from May 1, 2025. Anand will lead VEON’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Investor Relations teams. Anand joined VEON as Chief of Staff in September 2024, where he led a number of strategic initiatives involving internal, regional and global stakeholders. Prior to joining VEON, Anand was with Singapore Telecom, where he served as Vice President of Business Management in the Group CEO’s Office.
VEON also appointed Johan Buse as CEO of Banglalink, VEON’s digital operator in Bangladesh, effective 6th April 2025. Buse joins Banglalink from StarHub in Singapore where he led the Consumer Business Group focusing on strategy and business transformation. Prior to that, Johan has decades of experience in the telecom industry across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He previously served as the Chief Commercial Officer of Ooredoo Oman and held senior positions at Deutsche Telekom Croatia, AXIS and Singtel.
Cloudera
Cloudera appointed Leo Brunnick as Chief Product Officer to drive Cloudera’s next phase of AI and data innovation. With more than 30 years of experience leading technology teams, Brunnick will work closely with CEO Charles Sansbury and the Cloudera leadership team to oversee the company’s product and technology direction.
Beanfield
Beanfield, a local and independent telecom in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Ottawa, appointed Winnie Leung as its CFO in a time of growth and expansion.

QTS Data Centers CEO Chad Williams is stepping down after founding and leading QTS over his 20-plus year career
CoreWeave
GPU cloud specialist CoreWeave appointed Jean English as CMO. With over a decade of CMO experience at several cloud, AI, and cybersecurity leaders, English has a track record of executing data-driven, multi-channel marketing and communications campaigns supporting sustainable sales and product growth in the U.S. and abroad.
